Vernard "Abe" Abrams is one of the nation’s most respected and experienced quarterback coaches. As owner and director of ACE QB & WR, he has mentored and developed quarterbacks at the NFL, college, high school and youth levels for more than a decade and provides high-level training programs for wide receivers and defensive backs. Current trainees include more than 30 FBS, FCS, D2 and D3 quarterbacks.
Coach Abe is a regular guest coach at nationally-recognized quarterback events like Nike Elite 11 QB camps and “The Opening,” where he has been hands on with the country’s top high school and college players. He is a student of the game and has developed one of the most diverse and extensive networks in the quarterback coaching profession.
Coach Abe draws on his unique and varied playing experience to inspire his coaching approach. He excelled at multiple positions throughout his professional, collegiate and high school careers. An All-American and All-Conference player at La Salle University, he played defensive back and wide receiver for three years before moving to quarterback senior year, where he led the MAAC Conference in passing efficiency and directed an offense that ranked second nationally among Division 1-AA schools. He was named MAAC Offensive Player of the Year as a senior. He moved on to become an all-purpose threat in the arena and European pro leagues, playing quarterback, wide receiver and defensive back and earning AF2 “All Iron Man” honors as one of the league’s best two-way players.
A graduate of La Salle, Coach Abe returned to his alma mater as quarterback coach and helped produce a Conference Player of the Year and All-American quarterback. He also served as wide receivers coach at University of Minnesota-Duluth, where he coached three All-Conference players, one Player of the Year and an All-American. Coach Abe has also coached at the high school level, winning a PIAA State Championship as quarterback coach at Archbishop Wood (PA) and now serving as Offensive Coordinator at a prestigious private school just outside of Philadelphia, La Salle College High School.
