Maverick embarked on his football journey at the age of five, and by the age of six, it became clear that he was a natural quarterback with extraordinary arm strength. While he primarily plays quarterback, he also excels as a free safety and cornerback.

This past season has been particularly successful for Maverick and his club flag football team participated in 11 tournaments and won 8 of them. He earned MVP honors at a hard counts in Las Vegas. He also participated in the prestigious Youth Flag Football All-American Camp in Rockford, Texas, this summer where he received MVP honers
